What is that lawyer thinking now?

That dude that killed the 11 year old girl was arrested 13 times before this. One of those times was for attempted kidnapping abduction... whatever.

He supposedly held a woman on the ground trying to have her go with him but the woman fought off. He told her he would "cut her if she tried running away". A car came by the road and saw this and rescued her from the guy. ONE YEAR LATER he was acquitted from the case by jurers. His defense was "He was trying to hold the girl down so she would`nt run into the street."

I know it`s the lawyers job... But if he was`nt acquitted, This 11 year old would still be alive.

Just like in Devil's Advocate. I have too many morality issues to ever be a defense attorney, just because I couldn't possibly defend someone I thought guilty. They must sell their souls or something after they pass the BAR.

I`m not really ragging on the lawyer. You know... he`s doing his job whatever... BUT He`s gotta be saying RIGHT NOW Shit!!! that dude would have been in jail.

Imagine the guy asks the same lawyer to defend him now? lol What would the lawyer do this time? Would he take the case?

I agree Gonelifting, that lawyer must be feeling the fucking heat. His hard work to keep this guy out of jail, has all been for not. Thats too bad. I hate hearing about stuff like that.

Um, no, I dont think he is feeling too bad right now. He is probably calling is client up to plan the new defense.

the statistics of the U.S. System has a low probability of people found guilty.

The system is skewed so much because they would rather have someone who is guilty be found innocent, than have someone who is innocent be found guilty.

well you're right. you're innocent before proven guilty. I really don't know how it's possible to change the system without becoming a country like north korea or iraq. I guess there are always tweaks to the legal system but sadly somthing like this will always happen sooner or later. perhaps the sentences he got for his other crimes should have been longer. but thanks to an overcrowded prison system (due to the failed WAR ON DRUGS) the violent offenders like this animal are set free.
