she had an old crappy mac. so for her b'day/christmas I gave her the laptop. 15.1" screen, 750 PIII... very nice.

well, it was all me that did the screwing up of the relationship. just didn't work out, so I'm moving on with my soap opera life.

but that is neither here nor there.

the drunkeness was b/c I found out that I'm likely getting laid off - was supposed to be today, but now it looks like maybe after getting back from new years.

Not to whine (OK, so , I'm whining) but at least you guys have somebody to give gifts.

But on the bright side, I bought myself a sweater and shirt. (Stay away from the Zegna stuff - DAMNED expensive).
