Quick question,
My bench seems to be creping up on my squat lately. I don’t' believe that it will ever catch it but the ratio seems to be getting closer and closer.
Last chest day I pressed 385 for 5 on my sixth set. Not great but not bad right.
So on leg day I was squatting and on my sixth set I pressed 495 for 5.
Now obviously my squat is over my bench by a bit. But my question is this. What is or is there a standard ratio that can be applied to measure the amount of power a person should have in one body part over another?
The gains I have been making in chest have been coming much faster than my legs and I'm obviously worried about getting some weird ass look as a result.
As I write this it seems like a lame ass concern but I'm serious. I feel like I should have a 2-1 ration in regards to leg strength over chest. Is this completely unrealistic? I know a lot of this will depend on the work out, diet, training, splits, rest and a lot of other issues but as a general rule is there some kind of ration I should know of? If not this might be a damn good thing to try and figure out.
I guess I just ranting,
Gig
