Hardy har har. I want to hear people's explanations of what they think a loser is.
 
Anyone I don't like is a loser. Also, those who have something I want are losers. Anyone who is better than me in any way is a loser. I'm a winner!
 
Let's see if everyone gets offended by this thread. To me, someone that smokes, dinks too much, doesn't take care of their body. Lack of personal wealth means nothing to me. Actually I hate the word "loser".

Anyone who is'nt genuine with others. IMO. Of course that can have different degrees. A loser is'nt neccessarily someone who "lost" or has'nt been successful in his life with money or even family and relationships. A loser is someone who has been given the opportunity to do good things and looked at those opportunities dead in the eye and said "Fuck you!".
 
Loser = anyone who has given up
 
Here's the scoop. A person is only a loser if they feel like a loser in their own mind. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. The fact that I haven't snapped and killed a few hundred people, makes me a winner in my book. (ala, Al Bundy)

Lazy as in what way? For instance a lot of very wealthy people are lazy, THey look and feel like shit. It depends on what you value.

i see a lot of them every day, but i wouldn't call them losers, i'd just say they lost. seeing crack addicts and homeless people everyday makes you appreciate whatever small victory you've had.
 
well... ive known this girl, crystal, for a while, well actually since school started in september, i had a little crush on her, so on valentine's day i brought her a rose, i asked if she wanted to "be my valentine" and she gladly accepted,

well after class i walked with her AROUNd the classroom and said if she wanted to go out with me this weekend.. she said yeah, and then we kissed, well after taht i think it got weird or something,

cuz like the next day at lunch, one of her friends gave me a letter written by her, and it said something along the lines of... "im not ready for a relationship... blabla... i think we should stay friends... blabla" and yeah, it didnt even phase me because i didnt have my hopes up, i called her later that night and said it was alright, that its cool and that i wasnt realyl ready for one too, and that i hoped we can talk to eachother like normal again...

well.. on friday we didnt even talk in class... she didnt even try to talk to me.. like i saw her try to make communication but nothing came out and she turned around,

i donno whats going on? did i do something wrong? i mean i dont feel awkward or anything around her i just had a lil crush. i dont know whats goin on why is she like that?

Don't we all lose in the end? You can win all along the way, but in the end you lose. Get cancer or end up in a nursing home. Death,The great equalizer, everything equals out in the end. Unless, those that believe are right.

I'm lazy when it comes to doing certian things that I feel are unpleasant, such as cleaning out my car. So I'm part winner and part loser on the lazy scale.

I think what Jersey and Hansel are saying fall more under surrender or abandon,

You can abandon thoughts of following through on something and not be a loser.
 
i wonder if any of you would consider a monk who retreats into isolation for 40 years to ponder the nature of reality a loser.

i think that would be ok, as long as he brings snacks.

I meant in a general sense. To stop trying. I never considered anyone a lsoer based on accomplishment. I've seen men struggle their entire lives at minimum wage (or close enough not to make a diffference) and keep plugging away despite all the adversity. I dont know a better definition of winner than that one.

In the end what we accomplish here is meaningless. Its what is inside of us that matters. We all are born with different abilities, capacities, and potentials. Its the effort and the struggle, not so much the accomplsihment, that determines a winner.

true. my implementation of a "cutting" diet is pretty retarded, because it involves 4-5 days a week of pigging out because i don't give enough of a fuck, and then getting pissed at myself because i do give somewhat of a fuck.
 
We are all part loser and part winner. All of our lives have some weak areas and strong areas.


But....letting drugs/alcohol dominate ones life is real bad.

Yes. The struggle is something to be admired and commended also. To persevere through thick and thin and knowing how to make your own decisions that will best benefit you and the ones you care about makes one a winner.

My 45 year old drugged out loser uncle Mike who still lives at home with my grandma. I also find my ex-boyfriend Lee who cheated on me with some whore that met at a bar that is now his new girlfriend. Those type of people I consider to be losers.
