What is a good ebay sniping program

i downloaded hammersnipe but i'm wary of putting my ebay handle & password into it. I dont know why, i dont know what they could do with the info (its not like they'd have access to my paypal account with that).

Are there trustworthy, free (or easy to download) programs i can use to snipe bids.
