wondering what you guys do for leg mass

Here is my current routine

Stretch.....
Squats 135x12 225x10 315x 8 315x 8 405x 4 405 x 1 315 x 6 225x 8
Leg Press 40deg. 6 plates per sidex12 7x12 8x 10 9x10 9x10
Hack squats 4plates ech side x 10 4x10 5x 6
Extensions 150x15 175x 12 185x10
laying Ham curls stackx10 stck x10 stackx10
Deads 135x15 225 x12 225x 10 315 x6 315x6 405x2

Yes I have 3 heirniated discs in my back so I need 2 pre exhaust everything otherwise I hve to go too heavy nd i cant walk for 2 days till the swelling in my back goes down

Why are you pyramiding down on squats? I could see if it was your last exercise but then you shouldn't pyramid up at the beginning. I do 3 warmup sets for each body part then hit it hard. No warm ups for the next 2-3 excercises, straight to the point. I dont do much of a cool down, just some stretching.

have tried pyrm and not pyr. I seem to get better pump doing it so.......I do it
 
squats is the only leg workout I warm up for.everything else I go heavy and taper down. heres my leg routine:

squats 4 sets
leg curls (hamstrings) 4 sets
leg extentions (quads) 4 sets
calf press 4 sets
hip abductor/adductors (inner and outer leg) 4 sets
leg press 4 sets
and a new one im doing, reverse calf press, you lift up on a weight with your toes, works the tiny front calf muscle (tibialis anterior) 4 sets.
 
I do squats and rear leg curls. I couldn't even think about doing anything else with my quads after going heavy on squats.
 
That would be too much for mine. I do leg extensions, squats, leg press. I divide my legs in 2 days. next day I do hams, calves and shoulders. I do extensions so hard that I almost cry from the burning in my quads after each set; then squats usually 4 sets, almost throwing up after each. Then the leg press I end with blue vision, cold sweat, shaking, etc...but that's enough for me...usually no more than 10-13 sets total.

ive only thrown up in the gym once... all over the bathroom stall wall...
and then once in the parking lot...
...both after doing squats... :evil:
 
15 sets for quads nd 8 sets for hamstrings too much??? What the hell do you do?? Oh I bet you are 1 of those guys that does more sets for chest than legs!!

nine--werent you just complaining that your legs were too small---try listening to some advice--instead of jumping down peoples throats----less often times is more

yes legs are too small but they hve grown 2 inches since i have been doing this routine!!! so obvoiusly doing less for them just does not cut the mustard!
oh and if you want to see me jump down someones throat I will

your legs growing two inches from all the shit your taking doesnt mean shit.

Listen up to what others are saying... you'll learn and be better for it... worth changing it up a bit anyway.

If you're doing squats the way they're intended to be done you won't be able to do 15 sets on your legs. I do 5 sets of squats to absolute failure, and 3 sets of curls for hamstrings. My leg curls are usually done with less weight than most girls in the gym use because there isn't much left of them after squats. My quads are so exhausted it's hard to stand up and just walking back to the car is a real accomplishment. My legs are one of my best body parts, so I certainly don't qualify as an upper body superhero.
 
i do a lot of higher skill shit. i can't fuck around sliding pins in and out on machines.
 
I agree with the dude above me. If you've done your squat workout correctly, you really shouldn't have much left in you to continoue.

my whole perspective is that i see a ton of fellas doing 1000lbs. on the leg press, but i never see them with 405 across their shoulders. i want to be as strong as i look. SQ's transfer to all of your other bodyparts. and will expose any weak link you have.
 
Heres mine given to me by one of the good bros npc's competitors on here

Squats 4x15 to absolute failure each set
Front Squats 4x10-12
Stiff legs or hammy curls 4x8-10
Lunges 2x8-10
By that time i have to crawl to my vehicle. After squats I'm dead as fuck anyways but keep pushing the limit. Usually will be sore for about 4-5 days after doing legs.

I wasnt whining about how to make them grow .. holy fuck
 
Sqauts, Leg Press, and Stiff Legged Deads. Don't do any more than 4-6 reps of 2-3 working sets. Make sure you don't break your form for more weight. Of course, don't forget to warm up really good.
