What does random polygraph test really mean?

I've competed in 1 show and it was a non drug tested show. Now I'm competing in a NPC show (the WA state ironman) that says its random polygraph drug testing on the night of the weigh in.

This is not a natural bodybuilding show, and the majority of the participants are taking drugs. What is the deal, do they test like 1 in 10 usually ? Are they targeting certain types of competitors?

They drug test I think because it's a national qualifier.

Any experience or insight you all can lend would be cool.

Its weird how they are drug testing, most national qualifiers arent drug tested. It might be a team universe qualifier, if so then that's why they are testing. Only the class winners might get tested
