Im not really losing that much hair but since every man in my family is bald pretty much im worried, I have good insurance and an excellent prescription plan so I dont care how much it costs, do I go to a dermatologists for that?

Any Dr. will. However, be carefull. That shit shut me down. (lower libido, less strength, muscle loss, etc. ) I got my DHT tested and it was in single digits. (very low) My HRT dr says many of his patient some from both deca and propecia users. There is a forum on Yahoo specifically for guys that had problems w/propecia leading to hypogodanism. (low test)

If you don't know, you can get that stuff a lot cheaper through ancillaryguys. I don't have a problem with it concerning my libido and I take it you don't either?

if you're nearing 40 get checked for prostate; Proscar is effective for growing hair and fixes prostate too :)

Actually, if you are interested in Propecia, you may want to check out Dutasteride. Avodart, a second-generation 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor (5 A-RI), is the first and only medicine to inhibit both the type 1 and type 2 enzymes responsible for the conversion of testosterone to DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Dutasteride, It is under the brand name of Avodart, but there are generics available. It is stronger than Propecia, but also has a higher potential for sides than propecia. But, from what I hear and have been reading, it is almost a complete hairloss preventitive. Sides are not definitive as with anything, but the chances are there. Good thing is they all are reversible, (so it claims) and usually dissipate with time, even when product is not discontinued with most users. Some things to consider, but I would check it out at least...

India /generic Avodart

Product Name : Dutas (Generic Avodart)
Product Type : Dutasteride
Packaging and Product : Strips of 10 Capsules
Manufacturer : Cipla/Dr Reddy's Laboratories
Product Classification : Prescription Medication

Searching you may be able to get a year's supply cheaper, but I think this stuff is expensive regardless. Good luck anyway...

Hope I helped some
Good Luck

Bro - the number of people who are really affected by propecia is SOO low.. I have a lot of friends who use and has helped a lot.. its not covered by insurance whatsoever so look to spend about 55-65 a month for it

dermatologist

insurance won't cover it

it might cover Proscar which is a 5mg dose (propecia = 1mg) and you can buy a pill cutter.

Good info in the dutasteride.

No. As Matt was saying in his post, you buy Proscar and then cut the pills into 4 pieces for the dose that is used in Propecia. 20$ a month this way. Or get it from Ancillaryguys in liquid form for about 10$ per month. I hope they are good. Funny as I type this, I get a pop-up ad for hair loss. Assholes.

Some Pharmacies, drug companies, etc., will try to tell you that they are not the same drug(Proscar and Propecia) but they are full of shit, corrupt bastards that just want you to spend more money.

OOoooh , I had no idea insurance wouldnt cover it. Ancillary guys might be the way to go. Im not worried about loss of sex drive as i am the horniest mofo on the planet regardless of what im on, but i dont want permanent hypogonadism.
