Not sure where you heard that but I would beg to differ. From the research I've done the minimum you can expect to put on is 6-7lb.
I am starting my third week today and I weighed in at 188lbs at training today, I started at 180lbs. That's 8lb in 2 weeks, pretty awesome i reckon.
I feel good, feel strong and get helleva pump. Of course it may work on me better than others but I'm well impressed so far.

The general consensus seems to be 4-6 aday for 6 weeks.
I am doing 7 weeks as follows:
1 = 4 aday
2 = 4 aday (Started Creatine Here)
3 = 4 aday
4 = 5 aday
5 = 4 aday
6 = 4 aday
7 = 3 aday (Will start Glutamine Here)
I expect I will use something else at the end of this too just haven't made my mind up what yet.
