saw all the looting reports on the news..i am sorry but if i were stuck in New orleans with my kids i would loot...i would not take any jewelry but if i had my kids i would do what ever it took to make sure that they had food and clothing and blankets....honestly i would go stay in a dryer house if mine were to flooded also...........if thats what it took to protect my kids thats what i would do

they suck, big time.
i know people might be desperate for things- food or water or diapers. i know the stores aren't open and i know some stores like grocery stores will have to claim a total loss anyway, but its STEALING. and worse yet, its stealing from business owners that have most likely already lost their homes too. that is just horrible. the same people looting were probably happy to have those stores there before, and now they kicked the owners when they were down.

New Orleans police have arrived with "enough wagons to arrest everybody" according to some people I know in the area.

State of emergency declarations usually precede martial law. We might see it here. A girl I know in NO says she is coming in to get her stuff next week and then is prohibited from returning for a month.
