What do you do?

As I mentioned before in a similar thread this morning.. I pimp out jerkbox. It's a tough job dealing with man whores, but someone's gotta do it.

nothing. absofuckinloutely nothing. and i love it. i havn't had a job in almost a year and a half. i did go back to school last September though. wanna get my bachelors in anything and then move on to law school. maybe in a year or so i'll pick up a part time job. girlfriend works about 45 hours a week, she brings in a bit more than half of our income. i, however, am enjoying the benefits of the GI Bill....making 4 years of military service pay off for me.

the downside to not working, however, is that when i'm not at school, i'm home with the kids. yeah, it's kind of nice, but there's a lot of times i wish i was working again so i could get away from them a bit more often. if my girlfriend's schedule wasn't so screwy, i'd probably try to pick up a job on campus just so i could get out of the house more.
 
I'd go stir crazy; I was recently off for 6 weeks and I couldn't stand it after 3 weeks.

believe me, the first two months were insane. sucks i wasn't into lifting at the time or i could've made some nice gains.

what happens after a while, however, is you get used to not having to work and the thought of actually having to do something is really disturbing. i'm going to have to find a support group for when i do have to get a job again.

I'm a Licensed Child Welfare Specialist and I also waitress part time at a Sports Bar cuz us measly social workers dont make enough money. Oh, and Im also the Duchess of Bors but i don't really get paid for that, I just play one on EF

No. I have no children of my own.

I observe the behaviors of troubled children, "diagnose" their behavior, set a plan to change their behavior, counsel the child, work with the child to correct the behavior, work with their caregivers, and sometimes school teachers to educate them on ways they can help the child progress, and observe their behavior periodically to monitor progress. There is more to it but that sort of sums it up.


Some of my patients have been kindergartens who have brought knives to school with intentions of hurting classmates, kindergartens who have attempted to sexually molest classmates, more "normal" children who just have a hard time dealing with changes in their lives (parents are divorcing, they've moved, etc.), and foster children who are automatically placed with behavioral analysts.

sounds like a heavy work emotionally.
 
Yea it is draining at the end of the day. It's made NEVER want children. Most B.A. don't last longer than 5 months. I've been doing it since August 2001.
