What do you do for hangovers?

Recently i've been getting alot of hangovers when i've gone drinking, i'm not sure why but it sucks. I usually dont mix beer + hard alcohol so i dont know whats going on. My brother told me if i chug a V8 before i go out it should help and prevent getting sick. So besides drinking less what do you guys do to prevent and or treat a hangover?
 
My bro drinks pickle juice before going to bed...YUK...he swears it is the cure! Took a while to figure out why the pickles were always standing in a jar alone...
 
Theres really nothing to prevent them, but taking a few asprin and drinking plenty of water will help.
 
1000ml/1L normal saline or lacted ringers if you can get it via IV... preferably before you go to bed and you will wake up 100% or when you wake up just give it some time
 
The trick is, when no ones looking(dont want to get called out) Drink like 1 full glass of water for every 3-5 beers. Just pound it like its a shot, it keeps you hydrated and prevents that feeling like someone kicked the shit out of you the night before. Works for me up until I am so drunk I fall where I stand :beer:

I've tried that, but after a few I say fuck it and just drink. A huge glass of water before bed helps alot.

Damn that would make me have to take a piss every 20 minutes instead of every 30 minutes :)
 
I just drink lots of water before bed and eat a crap load of greasy food. Lots of people get worse when they eat but it works for me
 
I set my alarm clock and hour early. Wake up, take a piss and an ephedrine tab. Wash it down w/ two cups of water, then hit the sack for another hour. Wake up feeling like a million bucks
 
The pill Chaser really does work. I have tried them on numerous occasions and as long as you take one ever 2 hours or so after the orignal 2, things are good in the morning. Drinking extra water will even make you feel better.
 
Glucose IV is the best hangover cure in the world. When I was in the military we used to hit those things after a long night of partying and it will hydrate you so quick!

whats in those? ive seen ads for them- buit they dont give the ingrediants.

Drink a crapload of water before bed. After you wake up, do the IV thing like others have mentioned, drink some pedialite (the baby drink) with alka seltzer, and breath pure oxygen from a mask.
Having sex (the hangover hornies!) makes you forget about about how shitty you feel, but makes you feel much worse after your done, because of the physical exertion.
 
Alcohol dehydrates your body causing you to feel hungover. The more water you force yourself to drink before bed and first thing in the morning, the less hungover you will feel.

I know when you are drunk you dont want to drink alot of water. Just force yourslf and you will be glad.
 
I've had the same problem lately...maybe it's just getting older? You can drink water between drinks (if you can remember!) and that helps some. I also tried to change from beer (which I usually drink) to mixed drinks and the hangovers seem to be less severe. You can also try antialcohol antioxidants....you can buy them off the internet and they work like magic! Don't try the one's from GNC...they don't work very well, at least not for me.
 
Some health-shop chick once told me that high doses with both EFA's and vitamin B before and after your drinking binge will reduce hangovers.
I was also told that the heangovers you get from drinking red wine, comes mostly from tanning acid in the wine.The effect of this can supposedly be reduced by drinking Coca Cola.
 
take womens midol to get rid of it it does work and no it wont give you tits or a period if u r a man
 
I take a handful of vitamins before I go to bed with a huge glass of water. And I always wake up in the middle of the night and have another huge glass of water.

how do you wake up in the middle of the night when you are blacked out drunk and passed out??
 
come to think of it i bet if you drank water withdextrose mixed into it, that would help aswell
 
first of all, i try not to mix alcoholic drinks. not even different beers. that works. if you do get a hangover, then simply drink some more, my nigga
 
1) take advil and TONS of water b4 bed

2) when wake-up GO TO THE GYM. Sweating makes your body release all those toxins, revitalizes your mind and releases endorphins to fight that hangover shit. I always feel back to normal after i get back from the gym and take a nice shower. Even if i feel like shit. Once i start running -- i feel normal.

3) Figure how much alcohol you need to get "wasted". Keep it that level. Don't overdo it and keep drinking. That's when you feel like *shit* and can ruin your liver and pass out/throw up. I know my "feel good zone" and stay right there. I'll babysit one beer rest of the night if i have to.

4) If hangoers are a problem. Try to stay away from that hard alcohol shit. Do more fruit drinks or beers.

I never seen a study on how food affects alcohol's effects. Anyone know? I personally like to eat food cuz it gives me energy after a night of drinking. Don't know if it has any effect on the drunkedness.

omg I have no idea how you RUN with a hangover, you must be talking about little hangovers :)
 
I always drink a 64oz powerade or gatorade and a multivitamin and a glass of water you wake up tired but not a headache or body soreness.
 
pound the water before you go to sleep works everytime as soon as iam done drinking for the night i start to pound the water
 
Lots of water, burnt toast, due to the carbon in the chared toast, and potasium like bananas, eggs in the morning also.
