What do I have to do to get a charge expunged?

I have some "civil ordinance" charge on my record after a big fight me and some guys I know where in. I believe its 2 1/2 years before i can get it expunged, do i have to go to an attorney or is that something I can do myself?...I 'm innocent by the way.

Bro,

go to your local public defender's office, and ask them for an information packet on getting a charge expunged. You don't have to use them, as they WILL bill you if you have the means to pay them. You should be able to file the paperwork yourself. You may be required to attend a court proceeding so that a judge can make a determination if the charge is to be expunged. Also, there will most likely be a fee to file the paperwork. If you need anymore info, PM me, and I will be glad to assist in any way I can.
