What Creatine does

Ok, so you take creatine (in my case post workout) and I know your strength goes up because the creatine absorbs into your muscle or something. My question is, I know you gain a lot of water weight, but do you gain any mass? Can I expect a couple pounds of muscle from taking a cycle for 6-8 weeks?
 
Creatine increases your strength, endurance during your workout which helps you lift more weight. THis in turn will build muscle. Most of the weight will be waterweight although if your going natural it shuld be the foundation of your supplements other that protein:D
