No car right now...

Used to own a Mustang....

302" Ford block(Cleveland build)

4 barrel holley,
Edelbrook high rev manifold
Edelbrook manifold
Mechanical lifters
High lift long duration cam
13:9 piston heads
4 bolt main(I think!)
Customised headers
Balanced crank
High volume oil/water pump
etc, etc...

Won 2 times running 'road legal' races at Santa Pod dragway...

Fucking insurance was like £1700($3000?)

Word. I had an 83 GT that had a brand new 351 Cleveland with 2 4 barrels. Car would produce 75 pounds of oil pressure at idle.

doesn't anyone drive shit? everyone has $25k cars.

my first car was a 1977 buick lesabre. $950, lasted one year
second was an 88 ford taurus
third was a grand am, gasket blew, now its worthless

now i drive a 99 ford ranger splash :). it should last me 10 years.

Nordstrom, the reason I have my car ($29K actually) is this -
I'm a project engineer and have worked with my company for nearly 7 years now. Plus, I am not leasing, so my payments aren't small along with my mortgage, so I'm not exactly rich yet! I'm also 25 soon to be 26. My parents were awesome and although neither had an applicable degree, they both worked their asses off, lived reasonably (wearing clothes that were on their budget, not always trendy names), drove simple cars that lasted a long time, and basically gave the shirts off their back to me and my two sisters to get us through college. Now that all of us are working, we're all doing great and they no longer have to take care of us as we pay our own bills now. We also help them out if they need it, but they don't! My parents have a 4 BR, 2 story with full basement, 2 car garage, about 1600 sq ft home that they had built 4 years ago! Amazing how much money some people can save.

state farm loves me as i have 3 vehicles:

'95 mercury grand marquis

'73 ford ranchero

'66 mustng

the merc is the best road trip car i have ever owned! it makes the 750 mile dash to my broly's house in n.e tennessee in one long haul. it's white, looks like a cop car and scares the HELL outta people when i flash my hi beams at them, invisible to police.

the ranchero is a combination car and truck, like chevy's el camino, but ford was first by 2 years on GM. this is my third ranchero, as close as i get to owning a truck.

the mustang, the first, the origional, the best pony car around, attacts envious stares from everyone! never could afford one in college, still can't afford it now, just said foik it , buy it anyway. found it in little rock and drove it home.
