In regards to dieting, what are your thoughts on mixing fats and carbs? Do you think this is just another T-mag bullshit theory?


I posted this here instead of the diet forum since threads rarely get replies over there anymore and since im mainly asking for my next bulking cycle.
 
I think it's bullshit, unless you're eating a shitload of high GI carbs and a bunch of fat...especially if it's saturated. But if it's just part of a moderately sized meal, it shouldn't be a problem.
 
Im thinking along the lines of lean meat and potatoes or yams, get my point. Bulking meals that arent gonna kill you and turn you into a fat ass over night.
 
Well I always use the general rule to eat essential fats and proteins together and carbs and protein together....but every once in a while I will eat junk food and notice no difference in bodyfat gained over that one meal...a lot of times I will feel fuller.
I can taste it now....hardees double angus burger with fries and washed down with a diet coke ...he he....But really it is metabolism dependant, I have seen guys eat junk all day and maintain good cuts in the offseason...these guys usually have a hard time gaining considerable mass because their metabolism is so high.
you have to work out whats best for you....after many years of eating no simple sugars I can't eat simple sugars...messes me blood levels up...but complex carbs and fats may be OK if not a habit...
