What are your thoughts on dating a divorced girl with kids or vice versa?

Too much baggage? drama? I was just wondering what you people thought. I am divorced with 2 kids and my girlfriend doesn't care. To me, it really means she is with me because she loves me. I mean she couldve had a guy with no baggage just as easily. Makes me love her more. Opinions?

My GF is divorced with 2 kids.

I think in my 20s, I would not have wanted that "baggage" (I don't think of it as a negative thing) but now I am older, her kids are older too, I like hanging with them, I don't see it as a bad thing or hampering my life at all.

My mom was 36 with two kids when my 25 year old dad married her. They just celebrated their 32nd anniversary, worked out pretty well for him.

I understand people not wanting the baggage that comes with it....to each their own. Personally speaking, it would only bother me if I felt like he had a been there/done that attitude and had no interest in remarrying or having any more kids. I dated someone for two years who had two girls by another woman and a shit ton of baby mama drama, but us breaking up had nothing to do with those aspects of his life.

Thats more of what i was getting at was the baby mama drama..im glad it all worked out and congrats on there anniversary, that is a great celebration.

I would say no, but if I had my own kids my answer would likely be different. It also depends on the age of the kids, young kids or grown children would be less hassle than teenagers. Relationships are complicated enough without the added distractions.

Good for you dude.
