For people who had little to no inclination of goign live then yeah it's a ripoff. I for one was irritated to shit the other day having to make a live account for an windows game that i activated through steam....still haven't wrapped my head around that one.

It'll get even worse once Windows 8 is released. And I don't agree on it being better for people who want XBL. You can get a 250GB racing bundle on Amazon for $256. 2 years of normal Xbox Live brings that to $356.

Hell even the Limited Edition Halo 4 bundle is still cheaper.
