Western Union am I being paranoid??

I placed an order & it said to call & confirm my order or it will be canceled in 24 hrs. Is this normal? Am I being uber paranoid?

i dont think that is normal, i had problems with tracking my order and i was extremly paranoid but never had to call them. u dont want to loose ur money now so id call em, enless its some kind of trap

lol I'm so flattered you went to all that trouble fo lil ole me. I ordered some multi-vitamins & protein powder but the thing screwed up & says that they're sending me Test E, Tbol, & Arimidex...weird. Hope I don't get in trouble for the company's mix up.
 
Its normal because you called it in. If you had taken it to a western union place they would have asked to see your license. They do ask you some weird questions though so don't worry.

I did the same thing... I felt the same way tooo, except I wasn't a member of this board and too freaked to post on the "others" site. It's real cool and that's coming from the king of discreet.

Yeah, I did the send money option... The person on the other end had the cash in minutes it was sweet. The only problem is it's very visible transaction.

There are so many transations that happen this way, it's not much to worry about.

I hope all goes well. For future reference. Is there an option that would raise less red flags? Glad to hear yours turned out well. Mine was a tiny order so I hope I don't have any problems.

Red flags in my opinion are all relative... If the po-po are out to get you they will find something. Video/witness, ect... the will find somthing.

Just keep it on the low, with others that you know, that's most important.

I know nothing about WU just postal money orders.

They ask to see your license, you give em the dough, and what option do most people select "Next day"?

And why do they wanna see your lic?

The P.O. doesn't.

Does a Walmart MoneyGram require an ID?

Also if someone just gives you a name and a location to send funds to i.e. Joe Schmo in Billings Montana is that enough info?

I used a credit card and had no problems... The cash was for my cousin. It was that easy

The operator told me to use cash & go to the actual W.U. location to place this order. Guess that's what I'm going to have to do...thought I bought my ticket to the dark side today...:( lol

I like the idea of paying cash...seems like less of a paper trail...guess I got a little overzealous. Good thing it didn't go through :)

crash course in sending WU's!

1. get info from perspective source ( dont ask for thier info then bail!)
2. go to store or closest WU outfit and request a " send money form"
3. use a fake name and info for your information section
4. input thier info in their information section
5. save the WU reciept and run home flip on pc and send source the info needed so they can collect funds.

unless your spending over $999.00 per transaction? then YES you have to show ID. WU clerks need to be instructed on how to work the terminals 96% of the time. yes they are stupid and clueless sometimes

Thanks bro! Yep paid many mortgage payments WU... Over $999 they ask for ID other wise your in and out. Yep the info spots I put clients names not mine and WU still dont question it at any dollar amount!(Lazy Fucks)

Most Of The Time When You Send Money Quick Collect You Need To Call The Receiver With The Mtc Number So They Can Confirm Your Money Has Been Shipped Or So They Can Send You Your Items Before They Pick Up The Money Them Selfs.
 
Did you order it through the WU online or did you go in to do it? If you do it online then they ask you to verify it is you sending it. it is standard. If you go in they never ask me for my ID.

I tried to do it online...they rejected it for some reason & told me to go in person & pay cash. I'm going to do that tomorrow :)
 
Shit Cal... There are alot of people out there beside you that have had trouble using WU. This post has had alot of airtime. Good stuff. :verygood:
