Were the new mods name's picked out of a hat ?

The point is this.....moderators do have some power (deleting/moving posts) and they can make requests for blocking IP addys etc. This isnt a huge amount of power but it can still be used unwisely. So it should only be put in the hands of those mature enough to use it appropriately. Some people are doubting the ability of some of the new mods to do this.......maybe they have a point.

Having said that, all of the old mods I have contacted in the past have been extremely helpful. I dont doubt the ability of these people.

I'm not so sure about some fo the new guys.

Disclaimer: I said SOME of the new guys. I think there were some good choices in there.

Why all the fuss over who is a moderator, do they have some sort of secret power or something. Guys lets grow up here.

My point is that I expect the new mods to show a little maturity in respect to their posts and the members posts, I hope they will. If they don't then I would expect them to be delt with .{mods can be banned also can't they}.
Finally I've been around this sport for 20 years and I've met soom good people and some assholes, found that if you give most a chance, the good ones will show themselves and the others will not matter anyway.

Going to rest now, I feel old all of a sudden.

Ok I see we have a similar opinion.....although I believe in prevention over cure.
