im on 200mg wellbutrin a day and this is 4th week and i feel improved ambition and i dont freak out as much, but i thought my heart was feeling funny and some chest pains for last week, but i also have chest injury so im not sure, but this felt like heart pains and beating weird..anyone else have any thing on this?

I personally know of two people who have been prescribed wellbutrin and had terrible sides. I am talking about gradually going from anxiety and depression to full blown schizophrenia where one person believed that everyone from family to the hells angels were out to get him killed. It was terrible. I also know of a second person who was prescribed it and it made them feel terrible, lagged, and worse off than before the meds. Never heard of chest pains, although I would not doubt it.

Is it possible that you speak to your Dr about switching to something else? Or possibly going through Rxhealth and getting some thing different?

With all this being said I think that you should mention this to your physician. Funny chest pains that are recently knew and not looked into could pose as more serious problems and should be looked into.

The weird heartbeats you describe could be PAC's (premature atrial contractions) or PVC's (ventricle). I got a lot of one or the other while on Modafinil.
They are benign mostly, but can trigger an arrhythmia.

Have your doc do an EKG or similar.

Or change meds.

Take care, those are always scary.

Wellbutrin, especially if its generic(don't be fooled there ARE slight differences) acts on your norepinephine and adrenaline glands, as well as Dopamine and to a lesser extent Seratonin. SO, it will increase your heart rate and if you had heart issues in the past it it very likely. Your body will eventually get used to it to a certain degree, but if it persists for more than 6-8 weeks its definitely an issue to get checked out. Are you on SR or XR? If you are on SR you may want to ask for the extended release, they usually help to minimize certain sides.

There have numerous reports of the generic, Bupropion making people feel much worse and having other weird side-effect, just as Angel descibed. Always get real Glaxo Wellbutrin if possible. There is a huge difference on this particular medication and I can vouch for it from experience.
