Well, I Think Doing Freeway Wheelies Finally Caught up to Me Saturday...OUCH!

Well, I went riding on the chopper Friday and Saturday with a friend of mine that came in from out of town. Well, on Saturday afternoon when we got back. I parked the chopper in the garage and walked passed my GSXR. I could almost here it call my name to ride it. I said no to it because I just had the hernia surgery 10days ago and the doc said i could ride but I would have to take it easy. Well, I rationalized with myself that I would just take it easy(famous last words) Anyway so I hop on it and I do take it easy until I get on the freeway. Then I do a couple of sitdowns and they didn't hurt so I thought I might as well go to the refinery road and do a couple of standups.

Well they didn't hurt either and I was going a pretty good ways so I thought to myself, I wonder if I got them down good enough for tstandup wheelies on the freeway. Did pretty good but every once in a while the back tire would wobble and I would have to put it down.

Well Sunday morning I woke up and it hurt. And I went to church and it still hurt went to eat at my sister and it still hurt and this morning it still hurt.

Do you think I pulled those sutchers(sp) that attach to the muscle through the muscle? IF I did, will that mesh that they put in there just be floating around my stomach. Do you think if I did screw it up they will fix it under warranty?

I know some of ya'll are going to give me a bunch of flack for doing this but you gotta understand I am a freeway wheelie junky and after 10 days I needed a fix baaaddd.

Not one reply? I mean dudes it hurts. But I don't know if I just irritated it or did I actually pulled something loose. I mean how could even the doctor tell unless he opened me back up again.

The doctor would probably deduce how much tissue damage there is with an MRI, and make the call based on that. There really is no way to know for sure without opening you back up. Unless the pain gets to be unbearable and/or you notice a lot of swelling, I'd play it cool for a day or two and see if it was just a bit of strain causing you the discomfort. But if you're still in pain a day or two from now, go to the doc and fess up. Hope the wheelies were worth it.

Thanks. I really won't know if they were worth it or not until I see how much pain the second procedure causes. But so far they were pretty dang fun and the pain is hurting about a 3 or 4 on pain scale so now it is about a tie. What bums me out is that I have to wait an extra 10 days before I can lift and wakeboard now.

You sound pretty knowlegable you a doc or med student or something?

Dude, a back is nothing to mess with, you should have had more self control. Are a few wheelies worth back pain for the rest of your life?

I guess you'll find out now. Good luck.

It wasn't my back it was a hernia operation where they open you up and put attach the mech to your abdomen or something.
