i just got a new job with a real estate company doing maintence on buildings around town. i start at 7 am til 4 pm, and when i get home im too tired to do anything, so im gonna have to put training on hold til i can get my body more used to this schedule.

I would back off maybe but not put it on hold for more than a week.

Right, give it a week then hit the gym again. You'll adapt. I'm very glad to hear that you got everything straightened out. I told you it would happen. Anyway karma to you for sticking things out.

Congratulations Lee, I knew you could tough it out, good going man! :bikinimom

Great news on the job, but do not give up training for a long time because of it. I know plenty of people who work 10-12 hour days, and still make time for all their meals, and training. Bring tuna sandwiches, yogurt, pb&j sands, etc with you to work. Go to bed an hour early, and then wake up an hour early, all to get that workout in. Where theres a will theres a way...

ps. You should talk to Scottsman, I believe he has never missed a workout in years, and only gets 4 hours sleep! Oh and congrats! :)

Marvellous, you've taken action. I'm very very proud of you. Get your life straight first train later...well you can train during if time and allows it. Good luck. Way to go bro! Mega blast as soon as I can hit you again.

Heh I'll have 30 hours of classes and 60 hours of homework a week but I'll still train...leaving me 2 hours of free time a day :( But yeah you can always make time.

AWESOME! yeah i'd take a week off then try to squeeze your training in

because of the physical nature of the job, your general physical preparedness will go up. you'll be able to do more work when your working out and not overtrain.

win win situation my man. congrats!

thx guys, with my job i actually get all weekends off, so i was thinking of training today and tommorow. then training on wednesday. then tuesday and thursday. so i wouldnt be too tired for work and i could still lift decently.

You GO LEE!

Don't worry about training. I'd just say grab workouts as you can get 'em over the next couple of weeks and don't stress if you miss one...it certainly didn't zap you too badly before.

By the time those couple of weeks are up, you'll be used to your schedule and you'll be able to come up with a solid training plan you can stick to, even if you do have to get up early, etc.

Now, I don't remember where you live, but it is crazy fricking hot here in North Carolina. You'll want to take a water cooler with you to work if you spend much time outside! :)

and also my job is a lot of manual labor, so it should help me keep, and/or help me gain strength. i was hangin sheetrock yesterday, and some of the guys had been doin it there whole lives and were strugglin with 12 foot long pieces, and i would just grab one and slap it up for someone to shoot it in. needless to say, i was happy with myself.
