Weightlifting store

Are there such things as weightlifting stores or does everything have to be bought online these days?
Does anyone know of a chain or a store in the NYC area that sells close to all weightlifting products? From dumbells to bands?

not familiar with the big apple. Have you ever heard of Dunhams?
you should have one near you. They have barbell sets, benches belts...not sure about bands.

Dude, i live in NYC, and the closet thing i can find is the Sports Authority. Theres one on 57th and um, 5th ave or something. And then there's one down on like 6th ave and 17th street.

They are not that great - more general sports - but they do have some stuff. Its where i got my straps. But i wanted to try and get a Mantaray there and they dont have it.

You might wanna try Paragon Sports down near union square, but once again, more of a gernal sporting goods store.

Other than that, if you know anything better, let me know.

I live on the upper west side though, so i dont konw much about the East side. Although i think there's another sports authority on like 3rd and 51st or something. I can't remember the address, but i remember walking by it.

Online i go to www.houseofpain.com, they have lots of quality weightlifting stuff, from powersuits to chalk, I'm pretty sure they have bands, probaly not dumbells.
