Weight Training Software?

Im looking for some sort of free or very cheap weight training software. Something that will keep track of my training days, and my workouts. IE, take the place of a paper journal, and will record my exercises, reps, and weights. I know i could just use a large notebook, but its gettin really disorganized and i just hope theres something easier.

Looking for ideas here. I probably could use excel, but its not as easy and im terrible w/ the program.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Loose leaf sheets of paper and a soft-back ring binder work much better than a notebook. You only have to take this week's sheet to the gym (and maybe last week's for reference).

I've always found paper better than software - it's the little scribbles and comments in the margins that prove most useful when looking back.

I haven't tried it myself, but you could try http://www.fitday.com/

Open up either microsoft excel/word and where it says help see if there is anything that gives you the option to download or go online to Download some templates and then type fitness log. There it will bring you to a page and you shall choose whice type of layout of a log you want. hope that helps

I'm with the group. I've been using Excel on my PDA for the past few years. That way, I can upload it and graph my progress.

I too use Excel. I have made a spreadsheet so I just plug in my weights and reps and it plot out a relationship compared to my last workout and workload, etc.. and percentage progressions.

It's amazing the things you can do while procrastinating.

I have a brand name software that I could send you or tell you how to get. I won't discuss it on here since I don't know the rules about that stuff so just pm me and we can discuss it.

Don't know if its allowed here or not, but Dr Squat had a good program I used the trail version of. Its called "Bodycraft". Gives you journals, what foods to eat, and whatnot. I'd ignore the workout it generates for you though. Just google it.
