Weight Gain and your Face

I want to know, if you're eating all these calories and bulking up and all that, how do you avoid gaining weight on your face?

I'm a little worried about eating too much because I don't want to gain weight on my face. It looks good the way it is now, thin and my jawline and cheekbones are defined, but if my face filled out I wouldn't look so good.

Do you guys worry about that?

Personally, I'd rather have a big chest, back, arms, legs, etc than worry about a tiny bit of fat around my face.. if you are bulking its going to be inevitible - just eat as clean as possible and it will keep it to a minimum.

You'll still get ass, bro.

it's probably just fat and water :)

ever see a chiseled jawline and sucked in cheeks on a fat person...? :chomp:

Don't over do the eating. Keep a journal with your daily caloric intake and shoot to gain 1/2 pound a week. As long as you're lifting progressively heavier weights, then most of the weight gained should be LBM.

You will only get a fat face if you get a lot more bodyfat. I agree with everyone else in that you should monitor your weight and aim for a increase of around .25-.5lbs/week of muscle mass, really if your not on steroids thats about the max you can do anyways.

.5 lbs of muscle mass gain in a week is not accurate that would equate to 26 lbs of muscle gain in a year and ten is a more accurate number for good muscle gains in a year!! even with steroids 25 lbs is hard to get unless it's your first go and you hit a couple cycles!! I'm not talking about bodyweight, I'm speaking strictly muscle gained!! but as said already hit a journal... it's a good idea if you are serious about training it will help you get in the right habits!

Yea, those numbers were just numbers I heard in an article. I'm not sure what I will be able to achieve personally.

Edit: I reevaluated my stuff and think if your past the noob stage 5-7lbs a year is a much more realistic number in terms of muscle gain.
