I just knew if it was good or not, and it was almost always good.

hi. allow me to answer these questions on behalf of my best internet friend ever:

1. she doesn't hide it from her children. she usually dresses up in native american costume and does a rain dance around the room while puffing from the sacred pipe as her kids stare on from the couch. she refers to herb as the MAGICK stick.

2. she approves of adolescents smoking da ganj. in fact, whenever she sees 2 or more kids of that age hanging out on a street corner, she asks herself, "why aren't THOSE kids smoking pot right now?" then she goes and gets them high.

3. she gets super fucking high. it's sick.

4. she has a parental responsibility fulfiller named Orosco who fulfills parental responsibilities while she's stoned, sucking down bonbons on the couch and watching I Love Lucy reruns.
 
The reason I ask is because personally I am not against people getting high or being high in general. It's def great as a mood stabilizer and over all means of relaxation. Im curious how people who are parents somehow fit it into their lives while at the same time maintain the responsible parental role. I know my brother does it (he's also a pretty successful business man) but Im unsure as to how often he actually gets high, what time of day, how high does he get, etc? So I'd like to have more info. Also I know WODIN does it and he's a regional celebrity.

lol that was sleeping pill I took aftyer a few glasses of champagne. hahaha. the only time Ive smoke pot since 1992 was this past NY eve. It fucked me up and I felt horrible. Gross.

my kids don't know i smoke. i don't often smoke these days, but when i did/do
a. they are asleep and I go outside. never ever in the house with them.
b. or they are in school.
its never effected anything- i won't smoke if i have to drive, which is why its usually late at night when they are sleeping.

It sometimes helps me earn more money i think, because i get more creative.

Makes sense. There are limits to your use which is how you make it work for you.

I don't think its right for parents to do it in front of their kids, even though I think it should be legal. mine would be shocked if they knew i did, and they don't think i'm some nerdy who is out of touch with reality.
although, fighting is legal and I don't think parents should do that in front of their kids either.

yeah lumberg is a daily user. sometimes from when he wakes to when he goes to sleep (that's mostly on weekends of course). He goes into the master bathroom and locks both the bedroom door and the bathroom door typically in an effort to hide it from the boy. but there have been times throughout the day where Billy asks, "what's he doing in there?". It's getting to the point where he's becoming more and more aware of his surroundings and also more curious and inquisitive. I[m just wondering and a bit conderned about how much longer it can or will be hidden.

MY ex smoked weed form am to pm, and he was a drug addict and I am sure still is!

exactly. noe thing that I have a hard time tolerating is the smell in the bathroom (even with full fan ventilation) after he is finished. but - he has recently switched to vaporization (convection) which pretty much removes the smoke from the equation altogether. there is minimal smell in the bathroom after vaporizing and he himself doesnt reek of marijauan smoke either. it's much much better for both the user and those around them, seriously. Im surprised more people who are into pot dont vaporize. save your lungs people

I'm not sure if you're very famliar with Subtance Abuse and Chemical Dependency from a clinical standpoint, but be careful how you throw terms like "drug addict" around. there is NO clinical diagnosis called Cannabis Addiction. There is Cannabis Abuse and also Cannabis Dependence.

if you have specific questions regarding vaporization/convection, you can PM to LUmberg (or email). He has done TONS of research and he understands all the chemical processes involved.

Very familair with drug addictions. I was in a substance abuse therapy program for 5 months (not for myself) and was with an addict for 2 longgg years! I learned more about addictions in 2 yrs than I ever wanted to.
Smoking weed daily is drug addiction. Smoking cigs daily is an addiction, which I have. Drinking daily is alcoholosim...

lumberg sounds like he uses it like I do.

I started off just smoking 1-2 times per month, only on the weekends, usually at night, and just a hit or two for the day.

Then, I started smoking after workouts to calm me down and increase appetite, I noticed that it made evening television better, as well as sex and/or masturbation.

There are sometimes on the weekends i'll smoke from the early afternoon on. Sometimes I smoke daily after work as well.

I was thinking about the kid factor. I wouldn't want my children to know I did. I think I'd cut back on it to the point where i only did it once they were sleeping and once they got older only when they were out of the house.

I was not concerned or trying to judge so settle down. One does not need to be a clinician to figure out anyone who abuses any substance is only a user and not an addict.

Well, excuse me for being justa "wee" bit more intelligent than you. I work in the Behavioral Health business. I have more knowledge regarding "addiction" vs. "dependency" vs. "abuse" than you do, which is where we are not seeing eye to eye. I believe certain things based on what I know, you believe certain things based on what you know (still unsure what that is).

Marijuana is not physically addictive. Meaning, prolonged use does not change your body so that you will experience severe withdrawl symptoms and need a particularly larger amount of the drug to achieve the same effect.

Opiates are one of the most highly addictive substances because of the physical changes that happen in your brain. When you flood your brain with an over abundance of certain chemicals, there will be neurotransmitter recepters that "down regulate" meaning that you will physically have LESS of them.

Once you stop using the drug, the levels of certain neuotransmitters will decrease in your brain, yet you will still only have a few functioning receptors for them and you will be unable to absorb enough of them to make you feel normal, let alone high.

The phase where your brain catches up and "up regulates" your neurotrasmitter receptors is basically what most people call "withdrawl." Depending on the drug you can get headaches, sweats, nausea, insomnia, and more.

LMAO at knocking pot heads some of the most succesful people I know smoke weed on the daily. I know many creative people and people that need to think outside the box smoke weed. IMO it should be legal and we are pretty close to that here cops don't do shit anymore for personal postion. It is no worse for you then a cigarette IMO and that is a multi million dollar industry. I suffer from muscle pain and sleepless at times if I smoke before bed. I feel a lot better the next morning then if I take legal sleep aids and muscle relaxors.

I agree.....but it's a substance like nicotine and booze, so if you do it daily, at least admit it's an addiction is all I was saying.
We are pretty lax in canada with pot.
 
Most people are like "OMG OMG You smoke weed you are a terrible person!" When in reality it's no different than say taking an aspirin.

Both affect/alter the body in some way.

It just gets the reaction from people because it is considered illegal.

Well here's a news flash, just because the GOVERNMENT tells you what you can and cannot do doesnt always make them right. We actually need less government.

Think for yourself people. Stop being a sheep.
 
we have a one year old son. smoke breaks take place after he is in bed or outside if it's during the day. I often wonder what changes will need to be made as the boy gets older. It's not that I think smoking in itself is a bad influence. I just don't want to reinforce a disregard for laws.

I have personally never done any rec drugs and I very very rarely drink. In fact ive never been drunk in my life. Ive also never taken a muscle relaxor or alieve mainly cause I dont likethe way they make me feel. Id rather listen to my body and learn to deal with my aches and pains from the years of hard lifting.
but again, thats my personal preference. I beleive pot should be legalized and regulated as a buissness. It would help the economy and take some of the stress ooff the court systems for having to deal with petty shit like kids smoking dope.
