OK! I'll get DH some of those so he can look like the king of the castle that he is! :qt:

When I have people over, I never make them take their shoes off, and mine stay on as well.

when its just the fam, the shoes come off.

Hey CM....I'm with you. I always wear my kicks inside. I think its more that Im to lazy to take them off. but seeing as ur man is asian I would think you have two options. You could get "house shoes" basiclly slippers that never go outside. Or if you want a TRUE asian household you just get plastic runners for the floor..

P.S. plastic runners are fun beauase if you want to punish somone you just turn them over and let them walk on it barefoot un-knowingly.

See, That was my feeling and was arguing with DH a little about it. When I have a house guest I don't want them to feel like they have to remove their shoes. I wanna be a good hostess. Oh well, maybe everyone will get used to it!

I agree with you CM.

If he wants them to remove their shoes, he can ask them to.

I would never. I'd rather have the carpets cleaned more often

lol!

They're made by Reef. Called the Pimp Slide, but I think they changed the name to Pimptastic. If you can find the OG Pimp Slide on clearance somewhere on the net, you can probably get them cheaper than the new ones.

Generally a good way to get them to take their shoes off without asking anyone to take them off is to have a pile of shoes at the entrance that your guest come in through. Then make sure no one in the house is wearing shoes.

This way they will walk in and make the connection and take them off... unless your guests are rude.

Sure it may suck to have to take their shoes off... But they will feel a lot worse if they walk through ur carpet trailing dirt behind them.(consdering its a noticable amount.)

I have all hardwood floors with two dogs. Shoes are allowed in my house, all my friends feet smell like anus, so I let them keep them on.
