The median income for a household in the city is $71,708, and the median income for a family is $77,875 (2000)

Wulfgar's city:
Median Household Income: $200,001 (2000)

San Diego is a really diverse area though.

Cost of living is extremely low where I live.

At least I keep telling myself that to feel better about how little I make. :)

besides being adjusted for income the results may be largely skewed by the population size.

What is sad is that 5 of the 10 are suburbs of Washington DC! One of my clients is Homeland Security......my main impression the first time I tested the top brass was "For all these people's talk about 'government service' there are a whole lot of Armani suites, $200 haircuts and $1000 Italian leather shoulder rigs!" Government workers make way too much money for the jobs they do.

I just had to get a job in FairFax, Virginia...

I saw plenty of people who "looked" latino when I drove a few laps around the area (DC Metro areas of Virginia)

I should have asked them where they lived!

prolly watering lawns, then going back to the shithole ghettos of dc.

there is no upscale mexican hood in la.

Major latino gangs active in the DC area....high profile murder case a year or so ago where they hacked a girl up with a machete. Mostly El Salvadorenos, Nicaraguans and Guatemalans as opposed to Mexicans.

ya it is extremely Diverse
Rancho Santa Fe(where I live) along with La Jolla, Del Mar, Solana Beach, some parts of Carlbad are extremely affluent

then you got University heights, Chula Vista, El Cajon, Lakeside..which are on the other end of the spectrum.
