We should establish some Karma etiquette

I think now that we have this Karma functionality there are a few basic ground rules that we should set up. For example, If someone takes the time to help you out, then you should take the time to give them positive Karma. I have noticed that so far, many people are giving out sound advice and the person seeking that advice have not reciprocated by giving that person a positive karma point. Also, I think that we should define what merits a negative Karma point. I don't think that someone should get bad Karma say, if someone doesn't agree with their statement or advice. A bad Karma point should only be given when someone is obviously flaming someone or intentionally being negative. Seriously, it appears that this Karma thing is fairly powerful, it has the capability of kicking someone off of the board. As a result, we need to treat this feature with some respect. Karma is defined as:
"the force generated by a person's actions held in Hinduism and Buddhism to perpetuate transmigration and in its ethical consequences to determine the nature of the person's next existence"
Basically, "it means you get what you give" or "what goes around comes around."
So please, GIVE CREDIT WHEN CREDIT IS DUE!!!

I'll second that but we really need that email on Monday from George to see exactly what the karma will do. Then we can decide how to approach this whole karma thing....until then let the karma flow :)

Following good posts with useful info, I usually see many kind words following. Do we need to account for it with Karma points?
