Waxing Eyebrows

I wax my eyebrow area to make it clean it, but it seems that every time I do this( at the hair cut shop) the result is terrible red marks that take days to go away. This week , some of the marks still haven't gone away, its so painful too when wax, is there anyway to prevent this or any alternative methods to wax or clean eyebrow area?

Its so embarresing because I have to school and other places and people see those marks. Also, the people that did it this did a horrible job and it hurt much more than usual, its totally uneven and is totally different on each side, that just adds to the embarresment. I just really hope this won't leave a permanent scare, for some reason I seem to have very sensitive skin..

Try finding another place like a spa that specializes in waxing, facials etc. They seem to do a much better job. Take Motrin about an hour before you get a wax. This helps make it less painful. Then smear neosporin on the area they wax to help heal quicker and get rid of the redness and you won't be left with a scar.

My aesthetician also puts aloe vera gel on it when she's done.
It definitely should not be red that long.
Is it hot wax? It may have been too hot and burned your skin.

Go to someone else!

I just pluck my eyebrows. It is a bit painful but the area gets numb after awhile and I am sure to do it after a hot shower. Not that bad.

I tried plucking ... and inevitably over-plucked.
Now I'm back with a very qualified esthetician at one of the best salons in the city.
She says she can save my poor little brows.

Woo hoo, there's hope for me yet!
