true but the same can be said about any old school warfare.
a ww1 era division w/artillery would proly pwn the whole roman army.
a modern mechainized company would eat up whole ww1 armies

did you watch that whole video? if nothing else fast foward to the end.
see that bugged out guy? physically wound free but mentally destroyed, proly forever.
i have been reading about a small handfull of english troops who at the end of the war could not remember who they were or where they were from.
shell shocked and never able to mentally pull it together.
nobody claimed them and they were wards of the state for the rest of their days, completely pyschologically ruined.

The series is based on the definitive book...I learned a lot from the videos and "European Military History" was my specialization in college.

I served in Desert Storm..."an easy war" and I wish everyone could see what I saw as an 18/19 year old. I celebrated my birthday and gained my manhood.

They listed it as being credited to Pirates of the Carribean, wtf. I don't remember it in that movie. Excellent war theme song though.

It's human nature. There will always be power struggles. Without them we'd parish anyway, only without putting up a fight.

The important thing is to fight "the good fight".

big deal nothing that I havent seen on Military Channel;

It's a little different first hand and I think the point Bino was trying to make was the futility assaults and draining manpower through attrition warfare. After Verdun the French Army ceased to exist as an effective fighting force but The US joined the fight and provided plenty of bodies for the attrition warfare machine.
