B buffdoc New member Feb 16, 2003 #2 A small air bubble to purge the needle! I've mentioned this before. It is essentially risk free. I do it w/ all injections. Please don't post about the dangers of air embolism, we're talking about 1/16 to 1/8 of a cc. Aspirate as always.
