I was very blessed to have a family who can/could provide many things for me.
However, there was always a "price" for the things I wanted. Good grades in school, helping my mom and dad around the house, giving my time to the needy, etc.
Nothing should ever be given to a child without a price and a lesson...IMO.

I was so poor that I had to build G.I. Joes out of mud and rocks.
Instead of Legos, we had flat stones to play with and we were Thankful!
Intead of a bike we just beat up the kids with bikes and we were thankful that those kids were pussies!

I wish my mom and dad could have 1/4 of the life they have provided for my brother and i. I'm mindful of their happiness in everything i do and always strive to make them proud.

I've never known hunger...Breaks my heart to know children in this country STILL have hunger pains at nite!
