Sapp is a Defensive Tackle. Not a defensive end. He doesn't specifically rush the qb on every down like Strahan does. He plays the run as well, and takes on constant, every down double teams. Strahan is great, not taking anything away from him. I like the guy, but don't compare two different positions. They are both great players. Strahan had one great year though. Sapp is a much better player career wise, and he is still one of the best.

I remember on one play where he had a sack taken away when he was on his run to break the record and the offical called a pass interference when the stupid wide receiver ran into a DB and they took away the a sack. I guess the offical's logic was that the QB couldn't get rid of the ball because his own stupid wide receiver ran into a DB, so the sack was taken away. Law of Averages. One year doesn't make a career. Do you think Mark McGwire is better then Sosa because he hit more homers then him that one year? Sapp plays Defensive Tackle, once again, a position that doesn't yield a great deal of personal stats, and still, he has been consistently one of the best defensive players in the league. Strahan is a great player, but beforelast year, I wouldn't have had him in my top 10 defensive ends, and I'm not the only one. He has changed that now, he is on top of his game. But don't degrade Sapp just because Strahan has a record.
