My shoulders been giving me trouble,. so I tried some before the gym.........................and "yes" - I drooled - (right side of the mouth)

that cushion is very comfortable.

I don't know hwo you do it tho, I ate 2 before when I hurt my back on a Friday night and woke up in church on Sunday. Explain that?

try zanaflex.
it does not make me quite as tired as flexeril. plus, for me it works better.

and yes, it goes well with beer too :)

You need to try a muscle relaxer called "soma" (Carisoprodal). Take two of these BEFORE the gym, with a beer of course, and you will fall aspleep even before you get to the gym..probably while driving.

once, when i was young and stupid, i went to a concert and popped a bunch of somas and a 12 pack of beer. i ended up making out with one of the uglyiest weirdest chicks i have ever seen! LOL!
and my friends saw and made fun of me for a long time after that

i took those before when i had pulled my back in high school. they knocked me the fuck out. :sleeping:

I go to one of the nicest gym around - and there's never moe than 2 or 3 people in the weight room at one time (usually just me) - it's GREAT

I like it like that, thats an advantage to working shifts, these is nothing worth than having to queue for equiptment.

there is nothing worse then a gym that has so many people you cant workout or have to wait for every machine/weight.

or even worse then that is a crowded gym with people who dont know how to workout or a bunch of 17-19 yr old punks who sit on bench press for a few days at a time

That's why I LOVE working out at my gym - it's just me, my IPOD, and a ton of iron to toss around.

Very easy to focus under those circumstances
 
i take flexeril 3 times a day..and yes before the gym...never once felt sleepy or fallen asleep during a session...altho i take long ass naps when i get home tho..

My shoulder has been killing me, so I took one Flex, and it did nothing - so I took 4, and it worked, (aside from passing out)

have you found out from a doc why your shoulder is killing you? i just posed on your other thread about Cortisone.

IMO need to fix, not cover pain it up.
that being said, i just had 3 cortisone shots; trying to avoid another shoulder operation.(which will reduce inflamation, maybe reduce pain)

It doeswnt hurt during the day/night, just when I lift.

I can do behind the neck presses - but not front shoulder presses.
Dumbells are hit or miss (for shouler presses)

I can incline bench, but not flat bench

I can do incline dumbell presses - but not flat bench.

It doesn't gurt to throw something, and it doesn't hurt when I play basketball

Any ideas?

of course im not a doc(yet, going to med school for orthopedics)

it does not sound like a torn labrium, as i think that would hurt when throwing.
i would think that if rotator cuffwas torn bad, flat bench and behind neck presses would hurt too...

I would guess impingement. Doc who operated on me told me it is VERY common for bodybuilders. it is when your AC joint (acromioclavicular) is deformed, irregular, not big enough, or any shape out of the norm... and it bascially closes in on the rotator cuff and other lig/tendons, and muscles. therefore, not enough room for everything inside the joint anymore to move freely. things can start to crowd, and become inflammed/or frayed...turning into larger tear's

this type of problem could cause pain in some movements and not in others. Well thats my best guess. you could check out webmd or something for more info, but this is a very common problem for bodybuilders.

If it keeps giving you trouble, i would go see a GOOD orthopediest.

if they give you cortisone injections, then by all means they know what they are doing(thats what they are currently doing to me)
but I would not self administer them because if you do have impingment or a tear, the cortisone may cover the pain up and then you will hurt it even worse...meaning a severly torn rotator cuff surgury is a long recovery.
