Warning to those who use paypal

Guys I was using my mom's credit card to purchase stuff on Ebay. She was fully aware of what I was buying, then the monthly statement comes in and there are like 5 items eing purchased from the states that neither of us have any knowledge of. We contacted VISA, and Paypal, and luckily VISA cancelled the card and gave my mom a new one, plus removed the fees listed and are tracking the bastard. So just be weary as there have been loads of cases of Paypal's useless security features and it could happen to you. Just a heads up.

Yep............you wouldn't believe the amount of fraud they've tried on me. I have a phony bologna cashiers check for $8000.00 hanging on my office wall right now.

I've never had problems with PayPal and I use it ALL the time. Shit, I actually have a few thou in there now accruing at 4.03% money market.

it's common knowledge that ebay-paypal is the EASIEST and most cracked/hacked/fucked-up combination in e-commerce history.

Simply put, neither ebay nor paypal are SAFE. If nothing happens to you while using them is simply because of luck: sheer numbers, with so many million users, there is always somebody else to scam first, that is, until you are that somebody else

I've used paypal for years without a problem. Never follow a link to thier site, always ensure that when you go to the password site there is https:// in front of the www.paypal.com.
