Want to start TRT...have questions.

I have been researching here and a few other forums and talking to people for about a month. I'm 35 and have typical low t symptoms. I know my dr/hmo system is not going to help , at least not prescribe injectable test which is what seems to be the way to go. I went and paid for my own blood work to get my test levels and currently waiting on those results. But whatever the results are I have pretty much decided to start because I am sure it could be better.

I have talked to clinics and in the area and of course they want to sell me everything and it would be price prohibitive for me. My main question is what do I need to be on? They want to sell me on Test injection, HGC, Clomid and Anastrazol as a bare minimum to start and of course there are about 3 other things they want to throw in.

My question is: Would it be safe to just start with Test Cyp at about 100mg/week and nothing else? Do I need to at least add weekly HGC to avoid serious problems? I have never done aas and don't really plan on doing anything other then the test to get my levels up a little so small weekly doses and I'm prepared to make a life long commitment. I am also prepared to go it on my own but if I can just do the test I could afford that through a clinic. When they add on the other stuff it's too expensive.

Low T generally is accompanied by high E, especially if you are over 20%BF or so.

hrt test doses are generally between 100-200mg wk, some will go a tad higher depending on labs etc.

HRT shouldnt take your T levels way over lab max so with that in mind if your E isnt too high just test is all you really need. Definitely dont take clomid while on HRT, no need at all. Followup labs should tell you how your E is doing and then if high you may need/want to add anaztrozol at 1mg couple times a week.

HCG is not necessary but it will give you a small added natural test boost and should counter testicular atrophy. If you dont mind that your testes atrophy the HCG isnt really needed. Its usually dose at 250iu couple times a week.

Thanks. You are one of several people now to tell me that either I don't need Clomid or that I don't need it and should not take it. Of course the people that tell me I need to take that and HGC at the same time are at the clinic. Just shows you how much they have my best interest in mind. GLad I have done a lot of research on my own before letting someone else make deciscions

Clomid is basically a poor way to control estrogen. It doesnt actually control the creation of estrogen like anastrozole does, it just binds to the estrogen receptors without activating them so all the estrogen pilled up in your system cant bind. Clomid however is a week estrogen in and of itself so it can cause some unwanted side such as moodiness etc that most guys dont like. At the end of the day its a poor substitute for anastozole.

If you find your have elevated E then anastrozole would be your best bet.
