Try squatting without a belt. This is about the only thing I've ever done that's helped make my deadlift go up. Just be careful about the poundage. My contest max is 475 but I don't go over 315 without the belt.

I already do that. Got any other tips?

You mean you lift weights?

I had no idea...

Heavy squatting certainly helped build my foundation but the only way I get my deadlift up is by deadlifting. I haven't noticed much, if any, transfer from the other lower body lifts once I got past 500, more's the pity.

I can testify to this...my deadlift went up over 50 lbs just from squatting (I didn't deadlift between the two times). I guess it's the beginner's CNS thing but man, I was fucking impressed.
I currently deadlift 225 at 5 reps but I pulled a 315 max a month ago...never used a belt...I'm wondering if that musta done any damage. What happens if you do 315+ raw?

never worn a belt and never will.

Same thing with me

Belts should only be used for 1 RM
