vitex and testosterone

so whats the deal with vitex, does it for doesnt it increase testosterone. ive done some research on it and some think it does. others think it will increase progesterone which we all know could lead to gyno. and ive actually heard it can reduce gyno. so does anyone know?

I'm probably wrong, but...

If I recall from a previous thread, at lower doses Vitex will increase progesterone, but will actually decrease it at higher (1G+ ED) doses.

yes there is evidence that vitex, at higher doses 1g per day... helps restore test production by inhibiting prolactin (which is suppressive).

btw- prolactin is another aggravating/causal factor in gyno... several people have used vitex to reduce existing gyno.. seems particulary effective for progestenic gyno (which may be more prolactin dependent)
