I would partially agree. I knew a woman who was a bornagain christian that said when she was saved she didn't wonder what another man would be like in bed. Its not just muslim. My people used to do it centuries ago. And we are all orthodox. So, there you go. If the bride was not "pure" she would go home riding on the horse while she is turned backwards so the whole village sees her.

It's reasonable enough to say that a prospective couple having prior knowledge of whether they are compatible both physically and emotionally would be a good decision making factor and foundation on which to start building a relationship. Why would anyone choose to gamble with lifetime commitment on the whim of romantic sentiment?

I fit works out for you, that's great. But what if your sexual appetites were different. Say your sex drive is great, & his isn't. Sex isn't everything in a relationship, but it is key, & if there is no compatibility, better to find out before the ring, than after, IMO.
