man wtf were they thinking?? vipers are not made for F1 type racing with lots of hairpin turns and what not... vipers are street-legal nascars!
if that race were to have finished, the ferrari would have smoked it by over a minute

Vipers are road race capable- they are born for drag and the road track. Look at the lap times at various tracks by STOCK vipers vs. the competition...also the Viper is not an easy to drive hard, too much torque causes mucho problems..but I love it.

the viper had more than enough horses to overtake the Ferrari on the straights. The only place the Ferrari had a chance to pass was in the corners, and two hacks driving a $70,000 and a $200,000 machine are not going to risk going into a corner hot inches away from another car.

first of all it is clear the drivers were not professionals. second of all I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't staged. third of all the Ferrari driver was probably being more conservative.
