Use caution when using cortisone it will alleviate the imflammation & pain but the injury needs to heal, after the shot just because the pain and inflammation is gone you may think its better but you're just causing more damage .

Cortizol inhibits the bodies ability to make an infamiltory reaction, it will not change the mechanical problem, you need a mechanical answer. it is like if your house was on fire and all you did was take the battery out of the fire alarm.

It doesn't matter, as someone posted, where you inject the deca. It's a good remedy in this case but you'll want to be using some of that dbol as well if you aren't taking some test with it. The deca won't heal the strain but what it will do is build up the surrounding and supporting muscles to take some of the load of the injured muscle so it can heal. The problem is that once you come off you're likely to strain it again if the muscle you built is gone.

Do not inject Deca into the strained muscle. It will not help. It could actually worsen the problem. Strained muscles have inflammation. Deca could compound the problem. It takes time to heal the muscle. Once it has been strained, it is more prone to injury. You should see an orthopedic doctor on this and tell him it happens every year. Likely, he will order and MRI and see exactly what is going on and give you options. Someone that deals with sports medicine may have certain exercises that may allow this area to become stronger in time.

Looks like a typical tennis elbow. We see many patients a day with this problem. It is actually a nerve problem rather than a muscle problem. Best thing to do is use the tennis elbow brace. They really do work well. Otherwise I would stay away from the prednisone and maybe use a non steroidal like vioxx or celebrex for 3-4 weeks. See how that works out for ya, and send me a PM if you have any other questions.

deca is a waste, prednisone is a bad idea. use prolotherapy (www.getprolo.com), dmso (externally/locally), and enzymes (internally).

be careful if you go to a traditional ortho. if your problems are tendon related his options will be limited and cortisone shots will no doubt be numero uno on his list right behind anti-inflammatory med's. BOTH are exactly what you DON'T want.

Definately do not let him give you a cortisone shot there. Besides being a very painful shot in that area, they tend to do more harm than good in the long run.
