I need to look into getting a window treatment for a large (roughly 5'x5') circular window. Any ideas?

I had to give some form of measurement, assface, and I forgot my fucking compass and protractor in my car.

lol

haa haa

I'm sorry I'm still laughing!

you could have used diameter tuts :qt:

WHOA

1 - custom honeycomb blind - hunter douglas and nanik carry/make them

2 - custom wood insert that looks like shoji panel

I'll look for pics

If you are doing it JUST for sun protection and not decorative - get it tinted professionally - 3M type stuff.

Killah needs to DL he's getting to damn soft on us.

this thread is the very best the world has to offer. really.

5x5. classic.

killah being outted. again. classic.

suggesting the need of a compass and protractor. wicked.

vel asking 'what state you in' and no one responding 'denial'. too too rich.

the fact that i get to suck frisky's fingers. better than good.

For the last time, I used 5x5 as a reference only. I understand proper units of measurement for various geometric shapes. I hat you all.

J/K man I really am happy for the two of you.

thread of the day

I have those honeycomb blinds or shades(?) on my front window. It's square though, 5ft x 8ft. There are a few different styles for blocking light, sound absorption, insulating value...etc...

You can choose to open the shade from either top and/or bottom. That's nice to have when you want light AND privacy at the same time.

You can get soft goods for this, fabric, honeycomb shades, etc.
Honeycombs look a giant fan - or you looking for sheer coverage or solid light blocking? A little privacy/softeness/diffussed light sort of thing?

Any other windows around?
What kind of front door?

Just a little privacy. Even if it does not cover the whole window.

The door below the window has two sidelight window panels around it.

Is there any way I can use curtains/drapes/something besides blinds on the window? Thanks for you help ; I've been searching the internet and books and the only thing I can come up with is shutter blinds which is ok but the window is sooo big I'd be looking at 500-600 dollars ; which I dont really want to spend on the damn window. wish I never put it there. I wanted it for sunlight to make the entry way bright and cheery. Now its a pain. I will never do sidelight windows or arch windows ever again unless my house is a ranch ; and even then I dont know.

thanks so much for your help ; I'm clueless as what to do.

The fuuk you been?

My job has been pretty hectic lately. I dont get home until 6:45, then go to the gym, get home cook and eat dinner, get my shit ready for the next day, sit down on the couch for like an hour then bam I fall asleep again. Its tough find time for EF.

Plus the quality of threads, posters (you) etc... on this site has seriously plummeted.

How have you been?

Fucking beautiful. I see my life unraveling in front of my eyes. I think I may finish school. Fuck, I don't know.

I have the honeycomb shade on one big picture window. It's the single honeycomb, not the two or three design... It was a bit pricey though. About $350? if I remember correctly.

It does block out all the light perfectly, so it was worth it. I'm guessing it does a good job with insulating as well.

A pet peeve of mine is having glaring sunlight when watching Tv or just in my eyes when I don't want it.

I just read the top post on this page. I may be way OT. lol

See Gonelifting's post above...

Honeycomb (cellular) shades are really the easiest and cost effect solution - any window and blind shop would be able to order them. You can match your trim color or your wall color - depends on your style and what you like.

Tell them you need a starburst/arch shade.

i hate velvett...

but secretely I want to tie her up and do dirty things to her
