VCR to CPU and long files...

I have ATI Multimedia on my computer and that is what I use to record the mpeg files on my computer from my digital video camera. It works great but it only records 13 minute clips at a time.

I have some much longer videos on VHS (training videos) that I want to make into mpeg files. My recorder cuts off after 13 minutes though...are there any other recording programs that will go longer...like over an hour?

Ohh...I have a PIII, 500, 19gig, 128 meg ram, Win 98.

B, I'm not at home, but if memory serves there's a setting in the ATI Multimedia Center where you specify how much hard drive space the program can take. It's set lower by default.

Depending on how much space you have free, you might need a bigger drive.

also, I think if you compress them in .avi format, the file size will be smaller.

That's it....

The ATI configuration allows you to limit how much video capture you can do.

Just set a large amount of space (4-5 GB) and you can capture lots of stuff.
