I didn't have one but the hubby did...he never used anything for pain..never had any..just thought the shot freaked him out a little...had sex 2 days later. Make sure you go back for all the rechecks...He stayed positive for about 2 1/2 months...

They were going to do it in the office and they said because of years of weight lifting the veins were larger than normal. So I had it done in the hospital. They knocked my ass out and when I woke up all was good. I was just a little bit sore for a couple days but it wasn't bad at all. Get it done on a Friday and keep ice on it all weekend. You'll be fine by Monday. Just couldn't lift weights or have sex for 2 weeks. Trust me man it's easy. My brother inlaw had it done in the Dr. office and he said the same thing. No problems at all....But that S.O.B. has 3 kids already....lmao!

Take my advice, though, ESPECIALLY since you're 25 ... bank some juice before you have it done, seriously. I would have loved to have had a child of his and that is something I will regret forever. Reversals are extremely expensive, very iffy, and THOSE really hurt (and we're getting a little long in the tooth now to be dealing with a rugrat ...)

Bro My insurance covered it 100%. Since they did it in a hospital the bill was $4600.00 no Bullshit! Didn't cost me a dime. Your insurance should cover it. Remember they would rather pay a few hundred dollars than pay for the expense and delivery of another baby. Bet they will cover it 100% for ya. Most insurance companys do.

Oh, I think most insurance companies pay at least something towards it these days, seriously. I only know this because it's reenrollment for husband's company and looking at the benefits I noticed they pay for all that stuff, tubal ligation, vasectomies, etc.

That's cool...But I am a very selfish person....I come first in my life and always have and I refuse to give that up. But at least I can admit that. Instead of getting someone pregnant and then being a shit parent like so many are. I have been able to do alot of things in life because I do not have children. But when I get old and Im in a nursing home I just hope it's a hot chick giving me a sponge bath since I won't have any kids of my own to take care of me.

Had it done when i was 20. Had to really talk my doctor into doing it, because of my age, but i had a daughter that i was not raising and seen no reason to bring any more fatherless children into the world. Went to sleep for the whole thing. Woke up with some sore ass nuts. Layed up for a few days. Was quite painful. I have other friends who experienced no pain, working the next day. Others said they would not wish it on their worst enemy. Was told it is worse to go to sleep for it, and it would also be more expensive for you. Good luck bro. I have never regretted having it done.

Bro I had mine done about a year and a half ago..It was at the Dr office..It wasnt bad at all..They gave me an iv drip of some strong stuff, so strong I didnt feel the shots in my southern zone..The whole thing lasted about 30 min..I walked out with no problems..Just rember to keep ice on the area for the first day..I left ice on for 24 hrs only took it off to refill the ice pack..2 days later I was back at work like nothing happened..My ins covered almost all of it..I came out of pocket about $100 thats including the meds.. Most all ins will cover they figure its better to pay once instead of covering a liitle one for 18yrs..Good Luck..
