Var shouldn't irritate prostate but...

it seems to with me :( Can anyone shed any light on why this might be?

Is it a possible contamination issue? When on the old Spanish generic (yellow tabs) I was fine but for some reason BD Var causes inflamation. I don't experience this on other AAS; dbol / test / deca (I don't cycle with winny / proviron / tren so don't know how they would affect it, but I doubt it would be good!).

I experience this with other cycles. Twice now,I have gotten urinary tract infections while on. Of course i end up with a qtip shoved up my cock, to verify it is in fact a UTI as opposed to a VD

Ouch.... I've been in that situation before, and my doc was gonna do the swab, but after he learned I just pissed for a urine test, and the test wouldn't work.... He was angry at his nurse, and grabbed his prescription pad, and while writing he said: "Whether it's a UTI or VD, this will kill it..." and I was on my way with no swab up the dick...... Lucky me...

IMO and my anti-aging MD's ....

It is esto that troubles the prostate.
Increased esto can come from increased test converting
and/ or increase naturally and/or in percentage to test if test falls.

Add a touch of ami twice a week.

That is true with test but Var can't aromatise to E (and it is a very weak androgen), so I don't think it's that.

Excellent point.

Then .... a sudden rise in DHT levels?
Something chemically is happening that the prostate is sensitive to.

Sure would like to see base line blood test and today's blood test for testo, free testo, DHT, esto and PSA.

i think your right with the rise in DHT levels i get the same thing when i take test,(feels like i have to pee every 20min) and iv'e noticed a little of it with VAR also, i take some saw palmetto (softgels) and it seems to help.

Unfortunately I don't have blood tests to hand (I'm at work) but I've not noted that on any previous runs of Var (alone), from memory results have shown a expected decrease in both endogenous test and E2 and a very slight increase in DHT / PSA but nothing dramatic - it wasn't highlighted as problematic by my doc. I'll check later tonight.

I agree that "Something chemically is happening that the prostate is sensitive to" - but was thinking more along the lines of irritation rather than hormonal influence. I believe I'm experiencing something closer to prostatitis rather than BPH. Perhaps there is an underlying infection that needs addressing - I will get this checked - thanks for your replies :)

How much water are you drinking? Are you a caffeine junkie? Could it be that you're trying to pass a kidney stone and you don't even know it???
