Valium & piss tests ?

precautions for valium says not to take with barbiturates so i am assuming that the test would not give valium as a positive for barbiturates..

NIda+ contain barbityuyuates the duumbass comment came via I got the overtrun of I am a dumbass i apologize

What? I dont smoke weed or do coke or anything like that.My question is will Valium show up positive as a Barbituate..

Benzo's can be tested for very easily and cheaply with a piss test... In fact, I have a testing stick right here (I work for the probation department in my local county) that says it is used for, amongst other drugs, Benzodiazapenes... if your co-worker claims that he tested positive after a piss test, then I would believe him and lay off the Valium.

If your company is testing for barbituates then they may be testing for benzo's as well, in which case you should give yourself a minimum of 3-7 days for the valium to clear your system. If they are not testing for benzo's then you have nothing to worry about. :) You should have a list of what is not allowed in the new employee packet that you were initally given...if you still have it...

this has been discussed. they do check for benzos.

half life of 10mg diazepam(valium) is ~ 36 hrs, kolonpin is even longer.....so it takes awhile to pee under the cutoff in the nanogram range.

shorter benzos like xanax, halcion have 3-6hr halflives thus leaving quicker. drink plenty of water to where your peeing frequently. get that metabolism up as well.

maybe some can answer my ? do those Ready Clean drinks mask the benzos in your system? i know theyre great for THC...just wondering if its worked for chemical metabolites...any ideas?

just prick your finger and get some blood in there also zydot passes every drug test. hte testing labs are goign to start testing for zydot

Valium will come up in the tests for 3-10 days. Depends on your body.
Try some G instead (just be safe) and it wont show up in your test.

I have been on probation for a while and also did not quit smoking bud and doing other recreational drugs for some time. I have been totally clean for a long time, but I was eluding those tests for awhile. Those ready-clean drinks do not magically clean your urine. What they do is dilute your urine. If you were to drink a bunch of water, it would accomplish the same thing. The only difference is that those drinks have a bunch of vitamin B in them to get some color back into your piss. Also, they have a bunch of creatine in them. This is because if your piss is lab tested, the labratory tests for creatine to ensure that you have a normal amount of creatine in your urine. This is to check if you may have doctored the test. When you dilute your urine, not only do the THC and other levels of drugs in your urine get diluted (hopefully) enough to get under the cutoff point, but also the creatine and other normal things in your urine also get diluted along with it. Valium is a benzodiazepam. Its generic name is diazepam. Klonopin is clonazepam. Xanax is alprozalam. The old roofies(rohypnol) are flunitrazapam. All of these drugs are in the benzo family and will show up if tested for. Some of the half-lives vary, but it is really individual from person to person. If your job uses the standard dipstick tests, you can probably fool them, but if the urine gets sent to a lab, I would cut out the drugs indefinitely.

I tested positive for benzodiazepines. They test for that. I believe the detection times are up to 7 days. But just do an internet search of "drug detection times". Also, research the use of Visine to dilute your urine to negate the presence of benzodiazepine. I believe the ratio of visine to urine was something like 1/4 or 1/5 -- i.e., 20 to 25% visine in your specimen cup. But I don't remember for sure. So, you will have to do your own search. Also, I would cut back a lot on my useage so not to get fired. Or, just go to a doctor, maybe in a bad neighborhood to a foreign doctor who might not have a lot of paying patients with insurance and get a Rx for Valium or any diazepam -- Xanax or Librium -- and keep the bottle to show them at work if you test positive. Say you took it one night to calm your stress-related anxiety. So long as they don't think you are using it recreationally. Also, again, start to cut back and lessen the risk of a positive. But have those back-ups: Rx and Visine in your pocket with the knowledge of how to use it. Also, make sure they cant test for Visine -- which they would then determine to be a false negative.
