Valentine Gifts

the wife and i get double wammied. my bday is Feb 16th hers is the 19th and well of course V-day.

we both work late on Thursday so I am thinking of this 5 star restaurant in town for Friday for vday belated.
 
this valentines day is easy for me
 
I have never liked Valentine's Day. It seems like a sales gimmick. My man better treat me special ALL YEAR LONG. I shouldn't need a special day to remind him.
I like St. Patty's Day. :stpatty:
 
Well after your last post about the men on EF being dogs and all ,,, you will probably get herpes....
 
first time i havent had to do shit for a valentines day in 5 valentines days

prolly will spend it at the club, or maybe a visit to teh strip club since i never really go to those type of places much.

not gonna lie
this chick i was dating at the beginning of the new year
i was on the fence of dumping her and the deciding factor was whether she was worth the valentines day expense/emotional investment
 
Well it will be hard for my Old Grump to top last year. I got a car. This year he was hoping to finally get me my engagement ring but we found a lawyer that might actually be able to help us. Ring shming....

I am framing one of my first works when I began to start developing my current style. I made it 6 years ago. It is a group of four little gnomes hiding out amongst mushrooms and tall grass. I would have liked to have surprized him but that is nearly impossible being that we are together nearly 24/7.
 
I was going to buy myself a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine before making love to my palm... But I'll probably forget. I'm a dick like that.
 
I guess I'm one of the few girls who hates making a big deal out of valentines day. In the past I've gone on a few weekend trips (that we mutually paid for), but other than that...I'd rather cook together than go out to dinner somewhere fancy. Flowers, meh. Not a chocolate fan. In general, manufactured "romance" just isn't very romantic for me. I'll be having a low key thursday, and it will be perfect.
 
we are not doing shit, stupid frikken' day it is. I don't eat candy, I don't drink hardly ever, and as far as dealing w/ traffic and restaurant crowds around here, two words...FUCK THAT

i hear you
I used to go out to eat the night before...
reservations and pricing was retarded on v day, especially at a nice place. literally 3x the price

then on vday do one of my sweet creative surprises blah blah blah(yeah, i actually tried...usually worked out well). and then have sex all night
 
My hubbie cooks for me and packs our lunch ever day of the week. :)

It isn't about money spent. It's just a nice day to remember the ones you love. (my family always included the love of parents and children too) Sorta like a birthday or mother's/father's day... something of the sort.

I made my hubbie a Valentine's card last year and that was the extent of "my gift". We still have it on the mantle. It made him very happy that I got back to my artwork.

I agree... it is too easy to "buy me" something on one day of the year and then treat me like I am inconsequential the rest of the time. My hubby dotes on me EVERY day so I am not complaining. Still, it's nice to get a little something Xtra. As I said, this year I don't expect a thing. :) He really is THAT GOOD to me year 'round.

yeah I am getting that vibe too. I mean what newb gurl comes up in here running her mouth about guys who want attention based on her pm's then never shows again to prove it..Obviously someone fucken off. Not to mention the countless other posts that smell like alter, bit time!
