Today somebody knocked my door. I was naked so looked out by the window, saw a white plain van. put some cloth on and when I opened the door I got the orange letter from USPS trying to deliver....but my question is...do they use white vans to deliver?. The van didn't even had a USPS name outside...nothing. And one guy was driving while the other one let the note at the door...the note says certified letter and it is at the post office. WTF is this!.

how do you know that the man at the door came out of teh white van?

customs sends letters via mail but i have never heard of it being certified, my main concern is controlled delivery,,,clean your house put whatever you have there illegal at someone elses house for a few days until it clears up and you get your gear.... then still wait to get your other stuff back from your friend until a few days of your package arriving just to be sure..better safe than sorry

Some come certified, other don't. I think more often than not they are certified though.

My postman drives an Element, no markings, nothing that says USPS on it. They don't ALL have to drive a Mail Truck.

I'd bet it is fine....although, WERE you expecting anything?

also keep in mind that all ems packages from abroad will come from a special unit for ems services.. and sig is required for ALL ems packages.

i have a theory that a smart international source with access to a certain service of shipping (which i wont mention here) puts the buyer at a much lower risk than any domestic source!!

sounds crazy but its been proven over and over!

The vehicle makes no difference for the USPS, they can drive their own and get reimbursed from the government or take a government issued vehicle.

Yup, they do this in my area.
